Hi, O looove the hat and you are so gorgeous! The hat does look dorky in the LB website, you should totally be the new model! I am learning to crochet but I am sold on a cute hat that only takes one skein, so quick question if you have time: do you completely omit(skip) the flap instructions or did you adapt the pattern everywhere? I would love to give it a try!!

Yes, my husband is in the military. He is in the Coast Guard, otherwise I would make him grow his hair out :)
