My Heart is Just Melting

The in-laws are gone, so things are getting back to normal. I have had the itch to sew some things for my little one and whipped this up last night.

Refashioned Toddler Dress

I was inspired by this dress at Anthropologie. I absolutely adore how it came out! I made it from two different shirts I had.

Refashioned Toddler Dress

I love how the little ruffles bounce when she walks. She just melts my heart. What can I say? I love my daughter and think she is just a cutie.

Refashioned Toddler Dress

The only problem I had was I made it too tight at first. I added a triangular panel to the front to help out. Before I did that, she looked like she was going clubbing or something. Not something anyone, let alone a two year old should be wearing :) lol.

Ahh! So cute. Ha ha about it looking like she was going to go clubbing... that sounds like something I would do in a first draft sewing project for my kids. :)

Adorable! I just found your blog through the Wardrobe Refashion group on Flickr. I'm just starting to refashion and don't really know what I'm doing yet, so I'm so excited to see your ideas!

"Do I see a pattern in the near future????"

You know what, I think I'll add it to my list :)

"Could you do some pretty winter gear for the lil' ones, or for us big girls?"

As soon as it starts cooling down here a bit I think I'll be inspired too :) It's just still in the 80's for us, so it's hard to even think of long sleeves and pants at this time!

I love this dress! I can see it working for my girls with leggings. They're 8, 6 &5, so not sure how the length would work on them. :)
